Joule™ Re-heat Additives
ColorMatrix's Joule™ range of additives optimize heat
uptake of preforms during secondary blowing with minimal impact on
color and clarity. This speeds up the preform blowing process and
reduces energy requirements.
Joule™ Technology
During the bottle production process, heat is transferred to the
preform by infra-red (IR) radiation. Joule™ re-heat additives
enhance the way the PET resin absorbs IR radiation, resulting in
improved temperature distribution across the body of the preform
and better polymer distribution across the bottle's body.
They help to achieve a more consistent blowing performance, faster
throughput and, through more efficient utilization of the IR
radiation in the process, reduced energy requirements.
Unlike traditional black body absorbers, Joule™ re-heat
additives have a minimal impact on resin color and clarity.
