ColorMatrix's additive and color technology solutions for
PET help to improve process efficiency and allow significant
reduction in production costs. ColorMatrix additive solutions have
also helped to develop and expand the market for PET containers.
The range of additives from ColorMatrix includes:
Amosorb® is a polyester-based active oxygen
scavenger that allows PET containers to meet the stringent shelf
life requirements common to for example beer, juice, wine and dairy
packages. Amosorb® provides the confidence that the packaged
product will have a consistent performance over its entire shelf
life and over a variety of storage conditions.

Joule™ re-heat additives offer improvement
in heat uptake in preforms during the secondary blowing process,
allowing for faster production cycles and energy savings.
Joule™ re-heat additives have been specifically designed to
optimize resin heat uptake whilst having minimal impact on resin
color and clarity. Joule™ re-heat additives are formulated
for use in both the PET polymerization process (addition to reactor
or downstream) and for direct addition at the injection molding
machine. The ranges are classified respectively as JouleR, JouleD
and JouleM.

Ultimate™ UV 390 is designed to give maximum
broadband protection (up to 395nm, the very edge of the visible
region of the electromagnetic spectrum) to those packaged products
(beverages, household products and cosmetics) that contain
ingredients susceptible to degradation when exposed to ultra violet
(UV) light. This enables increased design freedom, extended product
shelf life, enhanced product consistency and penetration of new
market segments.

Balance™ vehicle systems are designed to
increase dosing flexibility of ColorMatrix liquid colorants and
additive systems. Balance technology allows enhanced rheological
performance when dosing high addition rate opaque colors and
additive formulations. Dosing accuracy is also enhanced for low
dose level color tints. Balance technology is also specifically
formulated to work in harmony with the latest high capacity high
output injection molding machines.
