ColorMatrix provides products and dosing systems for a range of
fiber applications including staple and filament yarn. ColorMatrix
technology is compatible with materials such as polyester, nylon,
polypropylene and high density polyethylene.
ColorMatrix supplies for a wide range of filament yarn
applications: from home textiles and clothing to automotive and
high tenacity broad weave end-uses. ColorMatrix formulates products
with excellent wash, rub and light fastness properties. ColorMatrix
also developed a range of colors which can accommodate the highly
critical weatherability requirements associated with high
specification outdoor applications.
All ColorMatrix's formulations and dosing systems are designed
to provide excellent color consistency throughout the bobbin and
from batch to batch. The ColorMatrix system has no detrimental
effect on yarn strength and therefore high tenacity yarn production
can be achieved.
ColorMatrix developed an innovative injection and dispersion system
for fiber extrusion that allows dosing liquid additive formulations
into the polymer melt stream.
The system has been developed with the ability to retro-fit of
existing and new extrusion lines. This new technology delivers
potential end-users numerous advantages which are a direct result
of the fact that the injection and mixing of the liquid additive
takes place after extruder. The benefits include:

production from one extruder and online 'dial-up' color
matching.
ColorMatrix owns a lab-scale fiber line in-house. The machine
has the capability of spinning both POY and FDY yarn and can be
set-up to mirror customers' spinning parameters. Coupled with
an air jet text rising facility this ensures the highest quality of
color matching. The equipment is also used as a research and
development tool for evaluating performance of new additives and
formulations.
